Starring: Kayla Bohan

Kayla Bohan was born in 2010 and raised in Los Angeles. In 2017, she had the opportunity to work with the critically acclaimed American actors Joe Estevez and Kyle Devero on the feature film Kayla. She was awarded at multiple festivals for performance in the film, earning a nomination for Best American Actress at the NVIFF Public Choice Awards in 2019 and winning the Best Child Actress award at multiple festivals, including the 2018 New York Film Awards, the 2018 Festigious International Film Awards, Actors Awards Los Angeles 2018, & the Los Angeles Film Awards 2018. Alongside acting, Kayla is a singer/songwriter, and composed the movie theme song for Kayla titled “Right Here For You.” The song won “Best Song” at the 2018 Festigious International Film Awards, and for her performance of “Right Here For You,” she won the Female Vocalist Bronze Medal from the Global Music Awards in 2019. She most recently starred in her second feature, Harper (2021). She wrote 3 songs for the Harper soundtrack: “I Thought,” “Promise You,” and “Just Like You.” She is currently celebrating Harper’s recent theatrical release and looking forward to beginning her next feature project. ​

KYLE DEVERO
​as Scott (Kayla’s Father)

Kyle Devero is an American actor, director, and producer.  He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2007 he started pursuing an acting career and has worked quite a bit on independent films, television, theatre, and commercials.  He has starred in the independent films Kayla, Instructions for Living, Misirlou, and In the Company of Strangers. He discovered his passion for the production side of the industry through AVS, the Art of Visual Storytelling, a class taught by USC professor, Miles Watkins.

ISABEL ZHONG
as Kate  (Kayla’s Mother) 


Isabel Zhong is an actress, singer, and model born in Lima, Peru. Isabel emigrated from Peru to the United States at a very young age and spent most of her life in Southern California getting involved in the performing arts, playing badminton, and studying. She graduated from UC Berkeley where she majored in Psychology and minored in Education.

JOE ESTEVEZ

Joe Estevez' first time on the stage was as a 6-year-old playing the "Evil Inn Keeper" in a Christmas Nativity play, and as an actor he has never looked back. For most actors the road is never easy, but through perseverance, faith and talent Joe has become an accomplished actor, and in Hollywood today he is one of the busiest actors for one reason: He is one of the best at what he does. Joe can be seen weekly on the T.V. series "Hollywood Joe" and as the host of the critically acclaimed Faith Film Festival in N.Y.C. 



LIPING LU as Yun Song (Kayla’s Grandmother) 

Lu Liping is a Chinese actress. Her career accolades include one Golden Rooster Award, Flying Apsaras Award, Golden Horse Award and Golden Phoenix Award, two Hundred Flowers Awards, Golden Eagle Awards and Chinese Film Media Awards, and she has won the 6th Tokyo International Film Festival - Best Actress, 1st Singapore International Film Festival - Best Actress and 13th Shanghai International Film Festival - Best Actress.

HAIYING SUN
​as Jun Wang (Kayla’s Grandfather)


Sun Haiying is a Chinese actor. Sun is noted for his roles as Shi Guangrong and Hong Qigong in the television series The Years of Intense Emotion (2001) and The Legend of the Condor Heroes (2002) respectively. He has now gained even greater popularity from his breakthrough role as Fan Zeng in King's War (2012). Sun has won the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival - Best Supporting Actor in 2012 and the Flying Apsaras Award for Outstanding actor in 2002.




JENNIFER COLLINS as Laura (Kayla’s Grandmother)

Jennifer was born in Cardiff, Wales. She is the daughter of internationally known Neurologist and author, R. Douglas Collins, M.D. Her mother was a British Mid-Wife and RN. She spent most of her childhood in Berwick, Pennsylvania. She began studying acting in New York City. Ellen Cannon first directed Jennifer in an experimental version of Camino Real, Off-Off Broadway. She later moved to Los Angeles to continue her career. Ivana Chubbuck, acting coach, was very instrumental to her acting and later certified Jennifer as an acting coach. In her spare time, horses and animals are her joy.
